Believe it or not, CreateAthon@USC is in 3 days. 3 days. Big events always seem to sneak up on
us, don’t they?
But don’t panic.
Here’s a list of things to bring to make sure you’re prepared. A “survival kit,” if you will. Because let’s get serious: 24 hours is a long
time. I figured it’s the least I could
do.
What to bring to CreateAthon:
1. A good
attitude. This 24 hours will seem
like 24,000 hours without one.
2. Comfy
clothes, in layers. Who wants to be
uncomfortable for an entire day? Like
some people, the Coliseum runs hot and cold.
You never know what you’ll get where.
3. 5 Hour
Energy. Maybe like five of them.
They work. Seriously.
4. Your
favorite snack. Food will be provided, so don’t worry about a full-course
meal. But if you know you’re going to be
craving Cheetos at 2 a.m., by all means, bring Cheetos.
5. Deodorant
and a toothbrush. It’s great to work
for 24 hours straight. It’s not great to
smell like it.
6. A freshly-charged
smart phone. And headphones. There may come a time when all you want
to do is listen to your own music and tune us out. That’s okay.
And, hey, maybe you’ll even tweet at us!
7. Your go-to
for inspiration. Your journal. A rabbit’s foot. Whatever gets your creative juices flowing.
These are just the “bare essentials.” But please, bring whatever you need to keep
you on your “A” game for 24 hours. We
won’t judge you, we promise. :-)
